Disputed condition that the official narrative stamps as a psychiatric illness.

Morgellons disease is a possible medical condition of nonhealing lesions, stroke-like neurological symptoms, and, most famously, the formation of alien fibers in unbroken skin.[1][2]

The opinions on it are sharply divided, where the official narrative denies it even exists[3], while others point to it being poorly researched[4]

Official narrative

Morgellons is the informal name of a self-diagnosed, scientifically unsubstantiated skin condition in which individuals have sores that they believe contain fibrous material.[5] For these reasons, doctors is often considered a psychiatric illness that should be treated with antipsychotic medication.[6]

Problems with official narrative

Physicians at the Morgellons Research Foundation studying the issue are unsure whether Morgellons skin lesions and related material such as colored fibers are (1) biological agents, (2) produced by such agents, (3) are products of the body’s attempt to rid itself of pathogens, or (4) an aberrant body system unrelated to any agent.[7]

It was only given a name in 2002.[1]
