Attempted whistleblower - died in military prison

Tomer Eiges (1995/1996 – 16 May 2021) was an Israeli IDF officer who worked in the Military Intelligence Directorate, and died while in military prison awaiting trial for security offenses.[1][2] He is said to have seriously harmed Israeli national security[3][4] [5][6] while acting independently[7] from a personal motive.[8]

The IDF chief of staff said Eiges should not have died in prison.[9] His family have demanded review of his death,[10] and have said the army tried to "erase" him.[11]
