Óscar Arnulfo Romero spoke out against poverty, social injustice, assassinations and torture. He was assassinated.

Assassination

Oscar Romero was assassinated while giving mass. It is rumoured that Robert Emmett Johnson was involved.[2]

Legacy

The Romero Institute (successor to the Christic Institute) was named in honour of Óscar Arnulfo Romero.[3]
