DescriptionThe South African Parliament was destroyed by fire.

A man was arrested after the historic parliament building in South Africa was burned down.[1] The National Assembly chamber was completely destroyed.[2]

The suspect Zandile Christmas Mafe aged 49 made his first court appearance on 4 January. His defence have claimed he is a scapegoat.[3]
