AbbreviationAPT

The phrase "Advanced persistent threat" is an attack in which a person or group gains unauthorized access to a computer network and remains undetected for an extended period. The term has traditionally been used to indicate state sponsorship,[1] but over the last few years it has also been applied to other groups.[2]
