Alpha Condé was overthrown in the 2021 Guinean coup d'état.[1]

He became Chairperson of the African Union in 2017. He replaced Idriss Déby who was killed in 2021.

He took the Sputnik vaccine.[2]

On 5 September 2021, he was arrested by the military. His fate is unknown.[3]
