A political commentator who died of "heart failure" after exposing Anthony Weiner's sexting

Andrew Breitbart was a political commentator who warned in 2011 of the Republican Party “If these guys don’t learn how to play the media ... we’re going to probably get a celebrity candidate” . Along with James O'Keefe he exposed the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in 2009, for their aiding of sex trafficking. In 2011 he exposed Anthony Weiner's sexting. He died suddenly in 2012. The newspaper he started was a solid backer of Donald Trump in the 2016 US election.

Conservapedia notes: His greatest success was undercover journalism performed by his employees James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles against ACORN. He believed that the ACORN scandal "represented the Abu Ghraib of the Great Society". Breitbart's associates filmed ACORN giving advice on setting up brothels involving underage prostitution trafficking as well as tax evasion tips at four ACORN offices around the country. In a brilliant strategy, he would release one tape which ACORN would dismiss. Then other tapes to stir the pot. A fourth tape was released that turned into a national firestorm which bypassed the corrupt media who refused to cover the liberal-aligned group.

The outrage that followed forced Congress to defund ACORN and Breitbart is credited with having them removed from partnering with the Obama Administration on the 2010 Census. Wade Rathke, ACORN founder, and Bertha Lewis, his puppet CEO had to change the name of the organization because Breitbart's work had sullied their image. State affiliates reorganized under new names in New York and California, others were banned from operating in Ohio and Maryland. Breitbart put ACORN on the defensive which is still reeling from his work and has announced it's closing business, bankrupt.

Encyclopedia Dramatica notes that the tweets in that time range are connected to the 2009 ACORN scandal, and going from a list of his tweets from end of January to 08. February, possibly to a more recent scandal that involved Planned Parenthood as well.

Steve Kest a leader of ACORN later joined John Podesta’s Center for American Progress. And Podesta was on ACORN's advisory board.

On May 27, 2011, Anthony Weiner used his public Twitter account to send a photo of his erect penis to a 21 year old woman. Andrew Breitbart publicised this on his BigGovernment website the following day, leading to denials by Weiner and renewed public allegations by Breitbart. Weiner eventually admitted the truth of Briebart's allegations after further images emerged, stating that he was "deeply ashamed" of his "terrible judgment and actions", which he called "very dumb."

Death

On the night of February 29, 2012, Breitbart collapsed suddenly while walking in Brentwood, Los Angeles. He was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight. He was 43 years old. An autopsy by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office showed that he had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, with focal coronary atherosclerosis, and died of heart failure. Reports that his coroner died of arsenic poisoning, are untrue according to an investigation by The Daily Beast.
