Aviva plc is a British multinational insurance company headquartered in London, England.

Aviva has around 31,000 employees and 18 million customers, and has £522 billion assets under management. Its core markets are the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. In the UK, Aviva is the largest general insurer and a leading life and pensions provider. Aviva is also the second largest general insurer in Canada.

Aviva has a focus on the growth markets of China and South East Asia through investments and joint ventures with other firms. Aviva has a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange, and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.[1]
