Cesare Pucci was an Italian army general and leader of intelligence services.

Early Life

Born in Ponte a Moriano in 1934, Cesare Pucci was a student of strategic sciences in Turin, a branch in which he obtained his degree diploma very young. In 1957 he was appointed second lieutenant of the tank force. On the academic level, he went through all the stages of military preparation, attending the Application School, the Italian War School, the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the Defense Studies Center.[1]

Pucci was also military attaché of the Italian embassy in the United States (in the period from 1980 to 1983), commander of the military academy of Modena, commander of the third Army Corps, and commander of the land forces of the NATO command for Southern Europe.

He specialized in security management (intelligence work), he also managed the SIOS (army intelligence) and SISMI (Italian military security service).

General Pucci also carried out numerous command positions: in particular the direction of the VIII Tank Battalion of the Ariete armored division, the 1st Infantry Regiment in Sardinia, the Trieste mechanized brigade in Bologna.
