|Perpetrator of||Operation Mockingbird|
Cord Meyer was personally recruited into the CIA by Allen Dulles in 1951. He was soon running its International Organizations Division. Alfred McCoy reports that by 1972, the job had turned him "from a liberal idealist into “a relentless, implacable advocate for his own ideas”."
In January 2004, E. Howard Hunt gave a taped interview claiming that Lyndon Johnson instigated the JFK assassination, and that the key organisers were Cord Meyer, David Atlee Phillips, David Sánchez Morales and Frank Sturgis. Mark Gorton states that Meyer was in charge of the cover up operation.
Cord Meyer's wife, Mary Pinchot Meyer, was shot dead in 1964 as she walked along the towpath of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal in Georgetown. The crime remains unsolved. After her death, Mrs. Meyer's sister and brother-in-law said they saw the top C.I.A. counterintelligence officer, James Jesus Angleton try to break into her home and take her diary, which was never publicly released.
An event carried out
|Operation Mockingbird||Operation Mockingbird is a CIA covert operation that began in the 1950s and is a continuing manipulation and control of the media by the CIA.|
|Deep state recruitment network||<nowiki>“In 1968, while at Oxford, ambitious, young Bill Clinton [[[Rhodes Scholar 1968]]] was recruited as a CIA asset by CIA London station chief Cord Meyer. Cord Meyer was a very significant figure in the Coup of ’63 when he ran the media cover-up, propaganda side of the coup. The Cabal was always looking to groom a next generation of members, and from the point of view of the CIA/Cabal, Clinton must have made an ideal target. He was smart, charismatic, ambitious, and he couldn’t keep his dick in his pants. That combination of traits made him very controllable.”</nowiki>||Mark Gorton|
