Gianpiero Carlo Cantoni was an Italian entrepreneur, banker, economist, academic and politician, a member of Parliament for Forza Italia, and later of the Popolo della Libertà. He was elected to the Senate in 2001, with the role of deputy leader of Forza Italia in the Senate. He was also a university professor, columnist and commentator on economic and social facts for various newspapers and television programs.
He attended the 1991 Bilderberg meeting.
Background
He graduated in Economics from the University of Milan in 1964 and a post-graduate master's degree in Management from SDA-Bocconi in 1976. In 1992 he received the Honoris Causa Degree in Mathematics at the University of Camerino.
