"Co-founder, chairman, and chief investment officer of Magellan Financial Group, as well as the lead portfolio manager for the firm's global equity strategies"[2] MFG was co-founded in 2006 by Hamish Douglass and Chris Mackay.
On 18 March 2020, as head of Magellan, wrote to his clients predicting “the most likely outcome of the efforts to contain this [COVID-19] emergency is a near total shutdown of the world’s economy over the next two to six months”.[3]
"He is also a member of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute’s board of directors."[2]
