Hassan Firouzabadi was an Iranian military officer and a member of the Expediency Discernment Council.[1] He was the Chief-of-Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces—the most senior military authority in Iran—from 1989 to 2016.

After that, he was a senior military advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran.

According to media reports on 3 September 2021, Firouzabadi died at the age of 70 from COVID-19.[2]
