In March 2011, just as the Libyan civil war was intensifying, Mr. Turi realized that Libya could be a lucrative new market, and applied to the State Department for a license to provide weapons to the rebels there, according to e-mails and other documents he has provided

In May 2011, his application was approved to ship more than $200 million worth of weapons to Qatar.

Two months later, though, his home near Phoenix was raided by agents from the Department of Homeland Security. Administration officials say he remains under investigation in connection with his arms dealings. The US Justice Department declined to comment.

USA v. Turi et al
The USA brought a case against Marc Turi and Turi Defense Group. The DOJ tried to claim that "national security" meant that matters relating to the U.S. State Department and Hillary Clinton should be kept under wraps during the pre-trial motions. However, a federal judgewho ruled that the defense could use the documented evidence that Turi possessed in his defense.

Complete exoneration
Following the decision that Turi could defend himself with the evidence in his possession, the case was withdrawn, amid fears that it would "cast additional scrutiny on Hillary Clinton’s private emails as Secretary of State, and to expose reported Central Intelligence Agency attempts to arm rebels fighting Libyan leader Moammar Qadhafi."

The four felony counts — which included two of arms dealing in violation of the Arms Export Control Act and two of lying on his State Department weapons application — were dismissed last week against Turi “with prejudice,” meaning the government cannot come after him again on this matter. Under the deal, Turi admits no guilt in the transactions he participated in, but he agreed to refrain from U.S.-regulated arms dealing for four years. A $200,000 civil penalty will be waived if Turi abides by the agreement.

In an October TV interview following the deal, Turi stated “It really is ungodly, and unjust and unconscionable, that the entire force of the United States government came after me for a simple application. I was working for the U.S. government.” He added, “I never shipped anything. I never even received the contract. So all I received was an approval for $534 million to support our interests overseas. And it would have been the United States government that facilitated that operation from Qatar and UAE by way of allowing those countries to land their planes and land their ships in Libya.”

Turi's "Ace in the hole"?
Roscoe Davis tweeted: "Don't know what ace in the hole Marc Turi that kept him alive, but it must be good, because in Obama's last few days in office, they dropped all charges on Turi and he walked on all the charges."

In an echo of the Arms for Libya case, Turi was charged in 2014 with illegally providing weapons for Libya. He too stated in his defense that although unregistered, the State Department and the CIA were aware of his arms dealing.

For the 1980s example of a CIA arms dealer who was charged by the government with illegally selling massive amounts of weapons and explosives to Libya, see the Arms for Libya case.

Marc Turi was charged in 2014, together with the Turi Defense Group with illegally providing weapons for Libya - around 30 years after another gang of CIA-connected arms dealers (lead by Edwin Wilson) were charged in the infamous Arms for Libya case. His defense, like that of Edwin Wilson, was that the shipments were unregistered because the State Department and the CIA needed covert cover.[1] In 2016 these charges were suddenly dropped due to concerns that his case might expose Hillary Clinton.[2]

Official narrative

Who? Turi had no page on Wikipedia as of December 2018, and little mention in the commercially-controlled media. The New York Times reported in 2012[3] and the Daily Mail reported in October 2016 that all charges were dropped "after he threatened to expose Obama and Clinton's role in arming extremists".[4]

Background

Roscoe B. Davis tweeted on 2 January 2019 that "Marc Turi is from Phoenix AZ and was a neighbor of John McCain. McCain who has been on the Senate Arms Committee for years helped Turi secure billions in arms contracts with the DoD. Then Clinton and McCain came up with a plan to arm Al-Qaeda to get them to overthrow Qaddafi."[5][6]

Career

Turi admits to a criminal history. He told Fox Business that in the late 1980s, he stole a computer, his roommate's car, and wrote bad checks including one for $100,000. Through court records, Fox News verified he was arrested, convicted, and served time in an Arizona jail. Turi admitted "In my youth, I made some very very bad mistakes...I was discharged from the United States Navy other under than honorable conditions...and I've been fighting ever since to get that honor back." He is also quoted as stating: "I got involved in this business [arms dealing] in the 1990s. I've been involved in all type of operations, regarding transportation, logistics, and liaising with those foreign governments."[7]

An event carried out

EventDescription
Arms for Libya 2.0A replay of the original Arms For Libya, in that a US deep state arms dealer was charged with selling weapons to Libya. However, in contrast to the original case, Marc Turi had a secret ace in the hole which caused the USDOJ to drop all charges and hush the affair up.
