Marco Panara is an Italian business journalist for the "center-left" newspaper La Repubblica. He attended the 2003 Bilderberg meeting.

Activities

Panara has worked in finance journalism, and was a correspondent for the Far East based in Tokyo. He became head of the economic sector of the newspaper and Director of the supplement "Business & Finance".[1]

He contributed in 1996 and 2005 to write the program of The Olive Tree coalition, the political project that allowed the center-left to win elections with Romano Prodi in 1996 and in 2005. In 2018, he participated in the foundation of the Civic Area Association, which "aims to give voice and representation to the civic world and engaged in the social world. It presented itself in the 2018 elections with the Italian Socialist Party and the Greens[2]

Covid

In April 2021 he wrote: "Closing everything even for long periods would not be enough because at the first reopening the infections would rise again; in the same way it would be criminal to open everything because the number of victims would be very high. The way out, we also know this now and the experience of Israel confirms this, is mass vaccination which is the only way to reduce the circulation of the virus and allow to increase that of people."[3]
