The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) is a UK-based advocacy group established in 1996 in London as an “independent consultancy focusing on the historical, political and legal aspects of the Palestinian Refugees”. The PRC specialises in research and analysis of issues concerning the Palestinians who were displaced, and subsequently prevented from returning, during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. It advocates “their internationally recognised legal right to return.”[1]
In July 2015, the PRC was given special consultative status at the United Nations as a non-governmental organisation (NGO), in a vote opposed by Israel’s United Nations mission, which claimed the PRC had “known links to terrorism” and was “affiliated to Hamas.[2]
