January 1, 1994 - December 31, 2001
Preceded byDavid Dinkins
Succeeded byMichael Bloomberg
Used this position to promote his sidekick, Bernard Kerik. Provably lied about important aspects of 9/11. Placed a small stimulating role in 2021 Washington D.C. Riots.

Rudy Giuliani is a "totally mobbed up"[1] deep politician who was New York City Mayor on 9/11, an event which "made him one of the country's most popular men"[2], notwithstanding has contradictory statements about the events of that day.[3] He "brazenly built a business on his 9/11 fame", experienced a "meteoric rise in business"[4] and "portrayed himself as a fiscal conservative and an aggressive fighter of terrorism."[5] In 2008 his standard fee for giving speeches was $100,000.[4]

Background

Giuliani's father was a "plumber and bartender who had been arrested for petty crimes before marriage straightened him out. His mother was a bookkeeper."[6]

BCCI Cover-up

As a prosecutor in New York, Giuliani was in charge of the investigation into the Bank of Credit and Commerce International. Remarkably, he later left that job and took a job defending the BCCI, a switch which may be indicative of his accession to the cabal.[7]

Rudy Giuliani had an office of emergency management in World Trade Center 7. He was active in obstructing the FBI's investigation into 9/11 by denying them access to the World Trade Center crime scene and quickly disposing of the evidence.[7] He was criticised in the commercially-controlled media for downplaying health risks due to air quality in the aftermath of the event.[2]

Collapse Foreknowledge

On 2001-09-11, ABC, Giuliani stated:

“I went down to the se and we set up headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the Police Commissioner [Bernard Kerik], the Fire Commissioner, the Head of Emergency Management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center [1 or 2] was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for 10, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us.”
Rudy Giuliani (11 Septmber 2001)  [8]

No one has officially confirmed or denied this, or asked Rudy, if he was warned, he did not see fit to pass on this warning to firefighters. The 9-11/Commission remained silent on the matter.

Later contradiction

On 2007-05-29, Giuliani was asked about this by We Are Change. He contradicted his statement of 9/11, stating "I didn't realize the towers would collapse... Our understanding was that over a long period of time.. the towers could collapse - meaning over a 7, 8, 9, 10 hour period. No one that I know of had any idea they would implode. That was a complete surprise" before beating a hasty retreat.[9][10]

Giuliani Partners

In 2002, Rudy Giuliani founded of a consulting company, Giuliani Partners, which has made him tens of millions of dollars. It champions "Integrity. Optimism. Courage. Preparedness. Communication. Accountability."[4]

Promotions of Bernard Kerik

Giuliani has been consistently trying to advance the career of Bernard Kerik, an NYPD detective without a college degree. Kerik was later made commissioner of the Department of Correction, later New York City Police Commissioner and a founder of Giuliani Partners. Kerik also served as bodyguard for Giuliani.[11][12] Giuliani is godfather to Kerik's two younger children, by Kerik's third wife, Hala Matli (born 1972, married 1998): Celine Christina and Angelina Amber.[13]

More than half of mayor Giuliani's cabinet opposed his 2000 appointment of Kerik as police commissioner.[14] Kerik's selection came despite the fact that he lacked a college degree. (Kerik was a high school dropout with a General Equivalency Diploma.[15]) Possession of a college degree was a requirement of police department officials at the captain rank and higher,[14] a practice instituted by former police commissioner Benjamin Ward.

After Giuliani's terms as mayor completed, Kerik became a founder of Giuliani Partners.

Giuliani then pushed President George W. Bush to nominate Kerik to be Secretary of Homeland Security, at which point multiple scandals derailed the nomination and Kerik's career; subsequently Kerik pled guilty to corruption charges dating from his Corrections days (1999). (He pled guilty in Bronx court to state misdemeanor charges related to undeclared acceptance of $165,000 in apartment renovations performed by Interstate Industrial, a reputably mob-associated firm.)[14][16] In March 2007, The New York Times reported that Kerik was likely to also be indicted for tax fraud and illegal eavesdropping, and also disclosed that Giuliani had testified under oath in April 2006 that he had in fact been briefed on Kerik's mob links in 2000 — prior to his appointment of Kerik as Corrections Commissioner. Giuliani had previously denied knowing of these connections until years later.[17] Kerik is also under investigation for conspiracy to eavesdrop on the conversations of the husband of Jeanine Pirro, Albert Pirro, whom Ms. Pirro suspected of having an affair.[18]

Lies from Giuliani

Mayor Giuliani said that neither he nor his aides could remember being briefed about Kerik's involvement with Interstate Industrial. However, a late 2007 New York Times investigation of the diaries and investigator's notes of Edward J. Kuriansky, the city investigations commissioner, indicates that such a meeting did indeed occur. Additionally, Kuriansky also remembered briefing one of Giuliani's closest aides, Dennison Young Jr., about Kerik's involvement with Interstate Industrial just days before the police commissioner appointment. Regarding Giuliani's appointment patterns and loyalty as a factor in professional relationships, former deputy mayor (under Giuliani) Fran Reiter said, "Rudy can fall for people big time, and sometimes qualifications are secondary to loyalty."[14]

Effect on Giuliani's presidential campaign

Marc Mukasey, son of Michael Mukasey (then Attorney General) and member of Bracewell & Giuliani, has been assigned by Giuliani's 2008 presidential campaign to block Kerik's legal defense team from interviewing witnesses that might assist his defense.[19] (When Giuliani joined the Bracewell firm, effecting the company's name change to Bracewell & Giuliani, he brought Marc Mukasey into the firm.[20])

Asked whether, if he became US President, he would grant Kerik a presidential pardon he replied "It wouldn't be fair to ask that question at this point. He may or may not be charged, he may or may not be convicted. Who knows what happens?"[21]

Suspension from practicing law

In 2021 a New York appellate court suspended Giuliani's law licence. The 33 page decision concluded "that there is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020."[22]

2021 Washington D.C. Riots

After pointing of blame regarding the 2021 Washington D.C. Riots soon became a shouting match between the "left" and the "right", several individuals (like the FBI, the Capitol Police and several officers that aided the demonstrators and others) and their role leading up to the riots went largely unquestioned. How and if Giuliani knew how the Capitol Police would response is not the scope of any investigation, which places questions at his statements made at the rally before the march on the capitol.

“Over the next 10 days we get to see the machines that are crooked, the ballots that are fraudulent, and if we're wrong we will be made fools of, but, if we're right a lot of them will go to jail so let's have trial by combat.”
Rudy Giuliani (6 January 2021)  [23]
