Shana Chappell is the mother of Kareem Nikoui, one of the 13 US marines who were killed in the 2021 Kabul Airport attacks.[1] Her story was only covered by right wing media outlets.[2]
She had her account removed from Instagram and was “incorrectly deleted” from Facebook following her fierce criticism of President Biden in the wake of her son’s death.[3] Instagram eventually restored her account.[4]
