Structural deep event (Deep event,  social change)
A deep event "large enough to affect the whole fabric of society", such as 9-11.

Structural deep events, as defined by Peter Dale Scott, are deep events that are "large enough to affect the whole fabric of society". Deep politicians conceive them to effect deep political goals. They are often entail a swathe of low- or mid-level deep events either to in preparation or afterwards, for-example to effect a cover-up.

Cover-ups

Extensive and complex plans for maintaining secrecy are necessary for structural deep events. A common component is the national "investigation" commission to fix an official narrative and take care of pieces of evidence or witnesses who contradict it. Often this is held in reserve, as a way of stalling opposition.

Official narrative

Fast adoption of a single official narrative is a widely used strategy to try to foreclose thought, discussion and investigation. Later, an official opposition narratives about a structural deep event is a good way to control the opposition. Sometimes multiple such narratives are prepared for later use (for example, Lee Harvey Oswald's various sheepdippings).

9-11 is the most outstanding example of a structural deep event in recent years, the of which included launching the "War on Terror" and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

The "war on terror", launched after 9-11, is itself a structural deep event, used as cover for a variety of purposes to promote fear and advance the police state.

"Iran-Contra"	A drug trafficking/weapons smuggling operation carried out in the 1980s with the approval of the top of the US government.
"War on Terror"	The campaign, launched by the USA under the Presidency of George W. Bush with the support of the UK, and most NATO members (at least formally) and other Western-aligned countries. Nominally a response to the events of 11 September 2001, its stated objective is the elimination of so called 'terrorist organisations', it was in fact conceived long before by a group of terrorist experts, including his father and the groundwork laid at a 1979 conference in Jerusalem as a propaganda term used to legitimise wars of aggression and a scare tactic.
2014 Ukraine coup	Regime change war in Ukraine.
9-11	A complex and spectacular set of events in New York and Washington. The US government was quick to blame Al Qaeda, though no evidence of guilt was presented and there is much suspicion about what Al Qaeda really is. In the USA 9-11 assisted the Patriot Act's roll back of civil liberties, the stepping up of domestic surveillance and the financial advancement of the military industrial complex. Abroad 9-11 helped launched wars on Iraq and Afghanistan that had been planned long before.
9-11/George Washington Bridge plot	The FBI arrested at least one van of men (two or three) which was found to contain tons of explosives. This was announced on the day, two conflicting reports, but later retracted. No alternative explanation is known to have been given.
Australia/1975 coup d'état	A UK/US deep state-backed covert "constitutional coup" to remove Gough Whitlam whom they saw as a loose cannon.
COVID-19	A coronavirus "pandemic" that was it was initially claimed emerged randomly from a zoonotic jump in China. Used as the pretext for sweeping social changes in the direction of techno-totalitarianism, this structural deep event dominated the early 2020s, and exploited to get a significant proportion of the world's population to submit to "COVID vaccines".
COVID-19/Lockdown	Nominally caused by a desire to save human life by slowing the spread of COVID-19, the near global campaign to institute lockdowns can also be interpreted as a global power grab by the supranational deep state.
COVID-19/Regime change	Many if not all of the most outspoken governments who deviated from the Official COVID-19 story appear to have been targeted by organised efforts to unseat them.
JFK/Assassination	The assassination of US President John F. Kennedy was the seminal deep political event of modern times, perhaps even more than 9-11. Both were done by the same group. Subsequently the group assassinated RFK, MLK and many others to try to contain the truth.
Jovenel Moïse/Assassination	The assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse.
MLK/Assassination	Officially a US-government assisted assassination!
October surprise	A secret deal which offered the Iranians weapons in return for their preventing the release of the US embassy hostages before the 1980 US presidential election.
Operation Warp Speed	US military enforced project nominally inspired by COVID-19
Patrice Lumumba/Assassination	A US Deep state backed assassination, ordered by Allen Dulles, which was followed by decades of bloody violence.
Russian apartment bombings	A 'Russian 9/11' which boosted support for the second war that was launched in Chechnya
Susurluk car crash	A seminal but still rather poorly understood deep event. It led to the coining of the phrase "deep state", and by extension "deep politics" and "deep politician".
Watergate coup	This is framed by the official narrative as a simple case of political corruption, one which proves that "the system works", since the powerful perpetrator was caught - if not actually brought to justice, since outgoing president Nixon was immediately pardoned by his successor, Gerald Ford. In fact it may well have been the outworking of a deeper political power struggle at work.
