This template makes a conveniently short link out of Wikipedia URL.
To indicate that a wikipedia page used to exist but it was removed, just use the URL "*", which will add it to the list of pages censored by Wikipedia.
Where the URL includes brackets, it requires (for currently unknown reasons) that these are included as literal characters, not as character sequences (%28 etc.)
