Important Chinese University that took part in the 2021 Monkeypox Tabletop Exercise

Tsinghua University is a university in Beijing, People's Republic of China, which is among the most selective and prestigious universities in China. National and international rankings show Tsinghua University as the leading technical and scientific university in China by a wide margin - and together with Peking University as one of the two best universities in the country.[1]

The university is located in the north-west of Beijing's Haidian district and is directly adjacent to Peking University. The international name spelling Tsinghua officially used by the university to this day dates from before the introduction of pinyin. In conscious preservation of its own tradition, the university has decided to retain the previous spelling even after the introduction of pinyin. With the motto self-discipline and social commitment, Tsinghua University says it is committed to academic excellence and the well-being of Chinese society.[2]
