The University of Haifa (Hebrew: אוניברסיטת חיפה, Template:Lang-ar) is a public research university on the top of Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. The university was founded in 1963 by the mayor of its host city, Abba Hushi, to operate under the academic auspices of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
