The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal is a political sex scandal involving US President Bill Clinton and 24-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky that took place in 1998.

Their sexual relationship lasted between 1995 and 1997. Clinton ended a televised speech in late January 1998 with the statement that he:

"did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."

Further investigation led to charges of perjury and to the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Military attacks by the US during the affair

The media pressure on Bill Clinton was strong. It has been said that he ordered several bombings to distract from his own wrongdoing.[citation needed] Comparisons between this scandal and the movie Wag the dog have been made.

Deep state involvement

Linda Tripp, the woman who taped Monica Lewinsky's phone calls, was a spook. Tripp was later exposed as having worked for Army Intelligence.[1]

Prosecutor Kenneth Starr had long standing connections to VIPaedophile circuits. In 2008, he used his influence to get Jeffrey Epstein an exceptionally light sentence for sex-trafficking.
