90 members in their early careers who are rising stars and specialists in security policy, economics, journalism, law and civil society.

The Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN) is "composed of 90 members in their early careers who are rising stars and specialists in security policy, economics, journalism, law and civil society. Formed in 2014 in reaction to the Ukraine crisis, the YGLN was created to bridge the divide between Russia and the West and establish a much needed platform for understanding and dialogue at a time when relations between major powers were becoming toxic."

Most of these work in the security bureaucracy, and can be expected to be appointed to top positions later. A part of the members are also from Russia and Belarus, and the forum might also function as a way to scout out and keep contact with future Russian leaders.

The YGLN aims to meet on a bi-annual basis to exchange ideas, meet with policymakers across the Euro-Atlantic area, and agree the future development of the YGLN. Meetings have evolved in line with the size and scope of the network but continue to engage with policymakers through private and discussions, discussion forums, and a plenary meeting among the entire network.

YGLN members are outstandingly active in various fora and their voices are being heard across the Euro-Atlantic space. Many of them are regular commentators in leading newspapers and panelists in prominent events.

The list of members also includes some alumni.[1]
