Foreign Desk Ltd. is a company which worked with the Integrity Initiative on a co-branded event on Independent journalism in hostile places or How to report Repressive Regimes and survive.[1]

Foreign Desk Ltd runs or is part of several vague-sounding projects with unclear funding, to train journalists and work against fake news. Given their proven collaboration with the Integrity Initiative, it would be wise to see these other initiatives with the same eyes, ie as intelligence related.

Staff

Two of the co-founders, Damien McElroy and Alex Spillius‎‎ took part in Tackling Tools of Malign Influence‎‎ , an Integrity Initiative conference. It is probably identical to working title Document:Independent journalism in hostile places or How to report Repressive Regimes and survive, see also Document:Journalism skill sharing seminar According to its own website,[2] they "are seeking to build support networks for journalists in countries where independent media is under pressure." The speakers were Nick Cohen and Carole Cadwalladr.

Another tie indicating that this company is an intelligence front, is that Alex Spillius also works on the censorship project Newsguard as a Contributing Analyst.[3]
