James George Stavridis is a retired United States Navy admiral who was Supreme Allied Commander Europe.

Baltic defence plan

As SACEUR in 2010 he proposed drawing up defence plans for the three ex-Soviet Baltic states - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - against Russian threats, according to a cable signed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.[1]
