Kiribati is a former British colony.
Selected events
Wolfgang Bohringer, the German pilot who was one of Mohamed Atta's closest associates in Florida was briefly arrested in Fanning Island in Kiribati, an island with no electricity and with around hundred inhabitants.[2]
