|Victim of||Premature death|
Spooky Japanese businessman. Officially, a suicide.
Mitsuhiro Shimada was a Japanese businessman.
"Japanese prosecutors began an investigation on Jan. 9 into alleged improper sales activities by Grumman and by Nissho‐Iwai as its sales agent in Japan as well as their connections with Mr. Kern after publication of a recent report by the Securities and Exchange Commission on worldwide sales by the American aircraft maker."
"Mitsuhiro Shimada, 56, executive director of Japan's sixth-largest trading firm, Nissho-Iwai Co., apparently committed suicide because of mental strain over disclosures of his role in an arrangement to sell Grumman Corp. planes to Japan. His body was found this morning on a street in the Akasaka section of Tokyo and his will and a suicide note were later discovered in his seventh-floor office."
