The ambassador of the United States of America to Japan is the ambassador from the United States of America to Japan.
CIA
In April 1976, Diet members alleged that out of eight former US ambassadors to post-war Japan, two ambassadors, Edwin Reischauer and U. Alexis Johnson, had known CIA connections. They also said there was currently 93 CIA operatives in Japan. US ambassador to South Korea Richard L. Sneider was also alleged to have CIA connections. They also said that Richard Petree was current CIA Chief of Station in Japan.[1]
