USS Liberty Survivor. I have also participated in Freedom Flotillas I and II whose purpose was to break the Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip. Having been raised in the Middle East beginning shortly after the Nakba I am arguably more aware than most Americans about the plight of the Palestinians and find it a bit ironic that I was aboard the USS Liberty when the ship was attacked with impunity by the Israelis on June 8, 1967.
