Walter Eugen Boveri Jr. was a member of the Bilderberg Steering committee.
In 1921 he began work in Brown, Boveri & Cie. There he was unsuccessful at building a market in the US and he left after his father died.
In 1932 he founded a private bank and management company in Zurich. In 1930, he returned after buying up a block of shares as a director to Brown, Boveri & Cie. After a renovation, he served as Chairman of the Board from 1938-66, consolidated the company and led it success. From 1966 onwards he was honorary president. After 1945 he was an industrial promoter of nuclear research in Switzerland. In 1955, he started and lead the research company Reaktor AG. He held various directorships, including Kreditanstalt from 1942-1966.
From 1958-64 various books of a philosophical nature. His autobiography, Ein Weg im Wandel der Zeit was published in 1964.
