	Operation Gladio may be the most 'out in the open' instance of false flag terror by Western nation states, considering that television programmes have been made about it and it has been admitted as such by the Italian Parliament. Nevertheless, its importance to the post-cold war wave of terrorism is not admitted by commercially controlled media.
