Harry Sporborg was deputy head of the Special Operations Executive under Colin Gubbins during World War Two.[1]

Harry Sporborg was a lawyer in London who became vice-chief of SOE during World War II, working alongside Sir Charles Hambro. It has been suggested that he envisaged the "stay-behind" units which were to be realised as Operation Gladio.[2]
