Peter Cuthbertson was born in 1983 in Darlington, County Durham. While studying for his first degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) at the University of Essex, he worked part time for The Taxpayers' Alliance and was Deputy Chairman of a large Conservative Future branch.[1]

In 2017 Cuthbertson stood as the Tory candidate in Darlington for the UK 2017 General Election, but failed to get elected.[2]

He later set up the Centre for Crime Prevention, working for longer prison sentences.

Per 2021, he works at the lobbyist PB Political Consulting.[3]
