Raj Sharma [1] has been recognized by Barron’s Magazine [2] as one of America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors. Top Wealth Advisors list includes 250 advisors who manage $910 billion in client assets. They were nominated by their firm and then vetted and ranked by SHOOK research, he is also Managing Director – Wealth Management and Head of The Sharma Group, a high end boutique within Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group a. Raj runs a national wealth management practice based in Boston.

Education

He is an alumnus of Osmania University in Andhra Pradesh, India, and, after coming to the US in 1980, attended Emerson College in Boston, studying communications, media and film.

Recognition

1. Raj has been recognized by Barron’s Magazine as one of America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors. In addition, Barron’s recognized Raj in their “All Stars” list – one of fifteen advisors who have appeared in Barron’s ranking of America’s Top 100 Advisors for fifteen consecutive years

2. He was also recognized by the Financial Times of London ranking of Global Advisors for the past four years as well as the top advisor ranking in Forbes Magazine for the past two years. Raj is also a regular contributor to local and national media on investment strategy, private wealth management and financial planning.

3. In 2018, Mr. Sharma, who manages more than $7.2 billion in assets, had made to the Financial Times’ annual list of top financial advisors. Out of 400 advisors on last year’s list, Financial Times had chosen only two advisors for a profile and Mr. Sharma was one of them.
