The following information applies to the standard file upload facility provided to registered users from within MediaWiki itself and accessible from the left hand "Toolbox" side menu.
File types acceptable for upload are restricted for security reasons. They are defined by the following extensions:
- doc
- jpg
- svg
- rtf
- jpeg
- gif
- jpg
- png
- odt
- zip
Suggestions about any need for others should be added to the discussion page,
N.B: This limitation does not apply to the Wikispooks anonymous upload facility which is a separate system running on a different server.
