Hans Ringvold was a Norwegian resistance fighter and intelligence officer during World War II. In the period before World War II and the German attack on Norway in 1940, he worked with code breaking in the Ministry of Defense.[1]

He participated in the resistance movement in Norway during World War II as a member of Milorg. Ringvold later, after some time in the resistance movement, fled to Sweden and from 1943 until peace in 1945 at the Norwegian Legation's military office 4 (Mi4) in Stockholm.

After the end of World War II, Ringvold was director in the insurance industry. After a CIA course in London in 1948, he became a leader in the secret organization Stay Behind until 1958 and president of the Norwegian Defense Association (Norges Forsvarsforening) 1977-1979.[2]
