Career

Richard V. Allen was United States National Security Advisor for a year from January, 1981. Himself a member of Le Cercle, he took over from fellow Cercle member Zbigniew Brzezinski and when Allen resigned just a year later (due to allegations about bribery), the job was handed to another Cercle member, William P. Clark, Jr..
