Salon is an American news and opinion website with a focus on politics, culture, and current events. It was created by David Talbot in 1995.

Salon also reviews books, films, and music; writes articles about human sexual behavior, and relationships; and has another focus on technology and open-source software.

As of 2023, it is owned by Chris Richmond, who also owns "fact checker" Snopes.[1]


Pushes the ON around COVID-19.


Senior writer Amanda Marcotte still supported her 2021 stance on COVID-19 vaccine job bans in January 2023, long after the first attempt at jab passports was abandoned.[3][4]
