The book uses the fact that there are two ways to determine the timing of the shots that were fired. By showing that the times between shot are the same in both, that proves statistically that both still are valid. The book does not go into detail in how the US government hid the truth which is a serious shortcoming that is needed to convince Americans they have been lied to.
