David Malpass is a US economist who became the 13th President of the World Bank. He resigned and ended the job in June 2023.

George Soros and his backers might have had a hand in the resignation. Soros said at the Munich Security Conference in February 2023 that "We must reorient our international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank, to focus on climate change. The president of the World Bank, David Malpass, who was a climate denier, resigned yesterday."[1]
