Background

Lewis Thompson Preston Sr. was born in 27 Nov 1899 and grew up in Monmouth, New Jersey. His uncle was head of the house in which he grew up with his parents until at least 1920. In 1925 he married Priscilla Baldwin. His brother William had married Priscilla's twin sister Fanny.[1] Both these marriages ended in divorce, and the twin sisters later married brothers from the Morgan family.[2]

Family

He married Priscilla Baldwin, with whom he had Lewis Thompson Preston. Then he divorced her and married Miss Eppes Hawes, daughter of Senator Harry B. Hawes of Missouri, but later divorced her.[3]

Death

He died in the Doctors Hospital on 9 Feb 1937.[3]

Relatives

Lewis Thompson Preston Sr. was father of Lewis Thompson Preston who went on to be President of the World Bank Group.[4]
