Oliver James McTernan is a spooky UK priest/businessman and suspected deep state operative. His Linkedin profile described him as of 2019 as "Experienced mediator in conflict situations. Active in promoting inter-cultural dialogue. Widely travelled with a large network of political/community contacts in Middle East and North Africa."[1] He was a director of the Institute for Statecraft from 2008 until it was officially wound up in 2015. He was listed as a trustee as of January 2019.[2] He attended the 2023 WEF AGM.

Until founding Forward Thinking, McTernan was a Roman Catholic priest based in the diocese of Westminster, having previously worekd in Islington and Notting Hill.

Oliver McTernan founded Forward Thinking and was director of the group.[3]

McTernan founded Forward Thinking. He is a former director of the UK/Council on Foreign Relations. He was a director of the Institute For Statecraft from 2008 until the group was officially closed in 2023.
