George H. Elias claimed in May 2018 that PropOrNot was a project of the Atlantic Council and that "Michael Weiss and company are the people behind Propornot".[1]
Awards
In March 2017, 21st Century Wire shortlisted Weiss for their 2017 Horace Greeley Award for Best Fake News Journalist, but he did not win.[2]
