Sir Patrick John Thompson Vallance FRS FMedSci FRCP is a UK physician who left his career in big pharma in March 2018 to become the UK/Chief Scientific Adviser.
In mid March 2020 Vallance "defended the government’s approach to tackling the coronavirus, saying it could have the benefit of creating “herd immunity” across the population."[1]
