Israeli Spook and Ambassador at the UN

Gilad Menashe Erdan is an Israeli spook, politician and diplomat.

Gilad Erdan held a number of Israeli government ministerial positions between 2009 and 2020, before being appointed Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations on 5 July 2020.

Israeli bombardment of Gaza

Speaking at an emergency session of the UN General Assembly on 26 October 2023, Israeli envoy Gilad Erdan described the Hamas attack on October 7th as a “pogrom”:

“The rockets were only cover for the pogrom that followed. Barbaric Hamas terrorists invaded Israel from the sea, the land and the air.
“They came with one purpose: to savagely murder every living thing they encountered.”[1]

Appearance in 2017 'Jewish Lobby' documentary

As Minister for Public Security, one of Gilad Erdan's primary responsibilities was to promote and coordinate opposition to BDS. Minister Erdan appeared in the 2017 Al Jazeera Documentary 'The Lobby' in connection with 'Labour Friends of Israel' and was recorded as follows:

I grew up with the ideology that the land of Israel totally belongs to the Jewish people... Not any compromise... morally Biblically. The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.[2]
