Imran Ahmed is Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Countering Digital Hate,[1] and suspected spook.[2]

"Ahmed’s history is hard to track. The two groups he has run — Stop Funding Fake News and CCDH — seem to pop up out of nowhere, switch addresses, rarely disclose funders, omit naming all employees, and feature websites that change names or disappear from the internet."[2]

On 17 November 2020, Imran Ahmed was interviewed about that day's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg:

"This election was the last chance saloon for the social media companies which have failed to deal with misinformation on their platforms.[3]

After the Buffalo shooting, he wrote an article in The Guardian entitled "Buffalo might never have happened if online hate had been tackled after Christchurch".[4]
