Rushanara Ali is a British politician who became Member of Parliament (MP) for Bethnal Green and Bow in 2010. A member of the Labour Party, she was the first British Bangladeshi elected to Parliament.[1]
Activities
In April 2013, Ali was appointed a Governor of the government organization Westminster Foundation For Democracy,[2] a UK version of the National Endowment for Democracy.
As of 2019, Ali was part of the executive committee of the British-American Project[3], an American grooming operation for future British leaders.
She is a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, a New Cold War project.
