Oreste Pinto was a Dutch spook.

Background

He studied languages and philology at the Sorbonne in Paris in 1909, where he also versed himself in unarmed combat.[1]

Career

He was recruited in 1913 by the Deuxième Bureau.[2]

World War II

He interrogated suspected spies.

Dwight Eisenhower once described Pinto as "the greatest living authority on security".[3]
