Edmund John Philip Browne, Baron Browne of Madingley, is a UK businessman and former CEO of BP. He proposed a merger of Shell and BP at the 2004 Bilderberg.

Career

In 1966, Browne joined BP. He became managing director in 1991, was appointed chief executive of the group in 1995.
